Sandy and John J., Dec 6, 2009, 4:34PM ESTFood for thought, sir.......
"Tolerance once meant an attitude of patience and forbearance toward those who failed to live up to social ideals; the new Tolerance means denying the existence of such ideals. Nobody once supposed that tolerance could replace primary virtues such as honesty, fidelity and courage. But exposed to the cultural poisons of recent decades, tolerance has now mutated into something troublingly different. It is now not only one of the primary virtues; it is the primary virtue, the possession of which excuses man, woman and child from the cultivation of any other virtue. This new Tolerance is positively deceptive. It is deceptive in that it elides the difference between tolerance and acceptance, deceptive in that it provides rhetorical cover for the ideological ambitions of those who advance it, deceptive in that it justifies complete intolerance towards any who would frustrate those ambitions, and deceptive in that it hides the intolerably high costs it imposes on society."

Sandy and John J., Dec 6, 2009, 4:32PM ESTGilbert, WHAT comment exactly, is it that you are accusing me of deleting? An article? A ping? An email? To the best of my knowledge, the only comments I ever delete are my own and I also replied to your email and informed you that I knew not what your point was in writing and also apologized? lol.. For some reason, have I become a threat to you in some way? You surely are paying me lots of attention. Thanks! However, it's all good cause it doesn't bother NOR impress me sir... You have yourself a great CHRISTMAS!

Richard Owl Mirror, Dec 11, 2008, 12:51AM ESTHi Gilbert, thanks for answering me
YOU SAID:
But the problems remain:
Does hemp needs a lot of water?
On top of this there will be law question for the congress to solve and, as hemp drives to extremists (as pro-life and pro choice) how much will cost the security against pot pro and con?
Pro will maybe tend to steal it and con to destroy the fields.
And, practically speaking, such a law could not be issued in few days and we need solutions on the very short term ....
This why I didn't vote.
I prefer to be frank as it will help finding solutions.
"a lot of water?"
It does better alongside rivers yet, it can grow virtually anywhere.
"extremists AND the cost of security"
Do they now do this with corn, sunflowers, soybeans ?
You are making a mistake in linking Marijuana with Industrial Hemp.
Hemp contains no useful drug properties, it is like the grasses, bamboo
Nobody is going to go steal Hemp to smoke and get high.
In fact, Hemp pollen reverts any female Marijuana plant
null and void of the ability to produce THC.
If you are against the smoking of Marijuana, it would seem
you would appreciate the fact that planting 100's of 1000's of acres of Hemp would eliminate all the Marijuana downwind of the fields.
And, practically speaking, such a law could not be issued in few days and we need solutions on the very short term ....
It takes one signature leading to the unleashing of the America Spirit.
If that signature were provided tomorrow, I guarantee Billions would be invested in field, factories simply by being allowed to make this choice.
This why I didn't vote.
If this were a commodity, free of drugs and from this one plant you could replace all the lubricants now derived from imported oil, make plastics, concrete, building materials, clothing, paper, ALL FROM THE SAME FIELD? Would you VOTE any differently? -
Michelle C., Dec 10, 2008, 3:34AM ESTThanks for your prayers. Walter and I truly appreciate your kindness and prayers through these hard times.
Have a blessed Wednesday! -
Stacey *Mamasaid* D., Dec 8, 2008, 11:59AM ESTThank you for responding Gilbert, that was so helpful . I'm already checking out memory and launching programs - very good ideas. I may need more memory and will delete some programs to see if it helps. What is an instant repair kit - can I grab one at Staples? Thanks so much :)
